Many prophecies predict that all world religions will unite under one man.
The Muslims’ Mahdi, the Zoroastrians’ Saoshynat, the Buddhists’ Maitreya, Taoism’s Li Hung, the Hindus’ Kalki, the Christians’ Messiah, and the Jews’ Mashiach, are all believed by the followers of the Abrahamic faiths, eastern religions, and other ancient faiths around the world, to be “Saviors of Mankind” who come at the End Times. They come in an age where darkness has prevailed – an age prophesied to be a time of the most dramatic transformation in history. At this point in time, a world savior or reformer appears. The ultimate forces of good and evil collide in a battle, so that good may finally prevail over evil. According to these faiths, the World Savior emerges in the End Times to achieve complete enlightenment and teach only one true religion. These Savior figures are all believed to call to a Higher Power, work by his command, end tyranny and poverty, and spread justice, equity, and peace. They are all believed to be supported by the purest souls.
What if the Mahdi is the same savior of the Buddhists, Hindus, and Christians? What if Kalki is the same savior of Muslims and Jews? What if the Messiah is the same savior of Zoroastrians and Taoists? The parallels among those world saviors are astonishing. This begs the question: Are they all the same person? Or are they separate figures? Will they clash with each other? Or will they be united under one banner, since the God who sent them is the same true God?
The truth is, in this day and age, all the world’s major religions will be united under one man, one banner, and one message, for they are all originally from the same one true God. And the man whom they will be united under is none but Imam Muhammad ibn Al-Hassan Al-Askari Al-Mahdi (PBUH & His Family).
Have a look at the outstanding similarities between the Saviors expected by the different religions and faiths in the End Times.
It is well known and generally accepted by all Muslims that a man from the family of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH & His Family) will, without fail, make his appearance in the End Times. He will fix the distorted religion and make justice triumph. The inhabitants of the Earth will follow him, and he will gain domination over the entire world.
Both Sunni and Shia Muslims are awaiting this person, referred to as Al-Mahdi.
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH & His Family) foretold:
“…Until black banners are raised from the East. They will ask for the truth/right but they will not be given it, then they will ask for the truth/right but they will not be given it. So they will fight, so they will be given victory. So whoever realised him from you, or from your descendants, then let him go to the Imam of my Ahlulbayt, even if crawling on ice, for they are banners of guidance, they will push it to a man from my Ahlulbayt, his name matches mine, and the name of his father matches the name of my father, so he will rule the earth, so he will fill it with justice and equity as it was filled with oppression and injustice.” (Asr Al-Thuhoor, Ali Al-Korani, p.220)
There is a common thread that unites many ancient cultures, but you may have never even heard of it. Various civilizations throughout the world believed that time does not unfold in a linear sequence, rather it passes through distinct eras. According to the Hindu faith, time is divided into four ages. The fourth and final age in the time cycle is called “Kali Yuga,” otherwise known as the “age of darkness,” when moral virtue and mental capacities reach their lowest point in the cycle. Hindu scriptures reveal that at the end of Kali Yuga, a Savior will appear, who will reset the wheel of dharma and lead the forces of good in a triumphant battle against evil. His name is Lord Kalki – he is the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, who has already incarnated many times, e.g. as Krishna or Gautama Buddha.
According to the scripture:
“Impelled by time, a Brahmana named Kalki Vishnuyasha will be born. He will possess great energy, intelligence and prowess. He will be born at a village called Shambhala in a blessed Brahmana family. As soon as thought of, vehicles, weapons, warriors, and arms and armors will all be at his command. He will be the imperial sovereign, ever victorious by the strength of his virtue. He will restore order and peace in this world, overcrowded with creatures and contradictory in its laws. That effulgent and greatly intelligent Brahmana will destroy all things. He will be the destroyer of all and He will be the maker of a new Yuga [Satya-Yuga].” – Mahabarata (Vana Parva, 190.93-97)
“The Tao is the Way that can be followed, but it is no ordinary Way.” This is the opening line of the Tao Te Ching, an ancient Chinese scripture whose title means, “The Book of the Way.” Written somewhat 2,500 years ago, the text is considered the foundational work of Taoism written by the Prophet Lao Tzu (PBUH). Taoist literature contains prophecies of a character called Li Hung, who is a messianic figure prophesied to appear at the end of the world cycle to rescue the chosen people, who would be distinguished by certain talismans, practices, and virtues. He is depicted in the Taoist Divine Incantations Scripture as an ideal leader who would reappear to set right Heaven and Earth at a time of upheaval and chaos. Li Hung is sometimes expected to be an avatar or reincarnation of Lao Tzu (PBUH), himself.
Throughout time, followers of the Zoroastrian faith have awaited a savior by the name of Saoshyant. The Saoshyant (From Him is Peace), meaning “one who will bring benefit,” will possess revealed truth and will lead humanity in the final battle against evil. Zoroaster (PBUH) foretold that a time will come when the world nears its end days when darkness pervades to a greater extent than at any other time in history. Zoroaster (PBUH) referred to this time as the end of the “Age of Confusion.” At this time, Saoshyant (From Him is Peace) will appear and he will act as the great Savior of Mankind, who will possess revealed truth and will lead humanity in the final battle against evil.
Prophet Zoroaster (PBUH) said:
“He shall be the victorious Benefactor (Saoshyant) by name and World-renovator [Astavat-ereta] by name. He is Benefactor because he will benefit the entire physical world; he is World-renovator because he will establish the physical living existence indestructible. He will oppose the evil of the progeny of the biped and withstand the enmity produced by the faithful.” (Avesta, Farvardin Yast 13.129)
In a time where social injustice, war, famine, and global poverty are prevalent, men will always seek someone from amongst them to restore peace and hope. This notion is prevalent in world religions, which speak about a chosen one: A man who will rise from amongst the people- A Savior. A mystical figure and a liberator who will fight to establish global security and save the world. Maitreya is a man whom Buddhists believe will appear on Earth at a time when the dharma will have been forgotten by most of the terrestrial world. He comes at this time to achieve complete enlightenment and teach the pure dharma.
There are profound secrets regarding the Mashiach, or Messiah, hidden in the Jewish traditions, scriptures, and the Old Testament. There is a remarkable description of not just one Savior but two Saviours portrayed in these Scriptures. However, very few people are aware of these secrets, such as the secret of the Priestly Messiah and a King Messiah, and the secret of the invisible God. In the Hebrew Tanakh, the Golden Age is related to the arrival of a promised Messiah, a Jewish king who enjoys universal rule. He comes to restore Universal brotherhood amongst the nations of the Earth. He is endowed with divine authority and power and changes the natural order by removing the hatred among humans, removing all diseases, and ending all poverty. He is given the title Moshiach, or Melech HaMoshiach, in the Talmudic literature. He is destined to rule the Jewish people during the Messianic Age. And this Messiah is often referred to as the “King Messiah” a title reserved for the leader who will redeem Israel at the End of Days.
In today’s world, the title “The Messiah” has become synonymous with the name of Jesus Christ (PBUH). Over two billion Christians regard Jesus (PBUH) as the promised Savior of Mankind. The term “Messiah” comes from the Hebrew word “Mashiach,” which means “anointed.” The anointed one is to be a human leader, physically descended from the lineage of Prophet David (PBUH) and Prophet Solomon (PBUH). He is thought to accomplish predetermined things in only one future arrival, including the unification of the tribes of Israel, the gathering of the Jews, the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem, and perhaps most importantly – the ushering in of the Messianic age.
The second coming of Jesus (PBUH) will be an age of no more sin, no more evil, no more pain. Jesus (PBUH), who is called the Lion of Judah, will return to bring everlasting peace to the Earth. The divine state that he brings is described in the Book of Revelation:
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Holy Bible: Revelation 21:1–4)
